Your Legacare Just Arrived: A Simple First-Use Guide

Three steps, sixty seconds, and a mirror moment you're going to love

First things first: take a breath

Your Legacare Changing Foundation is here. And if you're feeling a mix of excitement and nerves right now — that's completely normal.

You've probably tried a lot of foundations over the years. Some were fine. Some were disappointing. Some ended up in the bathroom drawer graveyard, never to be touched again.

So we understand if there's a small voice in the back of your mind saying: what if this one doesn't work either?

Here's what we'd say to that: thousands of women felt exactly the same way before their first try. Many of them are now on their second and third bottles.

Genevieve from Spain was very skeptical. "Too good to be true," she said. She bought it, tried it, and couldn't believe the sensation, feeling and colour match. She said it goes on like a good moisturiser and instantly disappears — until you realise it's changed colour to match your skin.

Julie from Australia was so sceptical that her Legacare sat in the bathroom for a few days because she didn't want to be disappointed again. When she finally tried it, she was surprised it went on smoothly, felt light on her skin, and didn't highlight her age lines.

The thing both of these women have in common? They followed a simple routine their first time. That's what we're going to walk you through right now.

Your 3-step first-use ritual

This isn't a complicated tutorial. It's three steps, about 60 seconds of active application time, and a little bit of patience while the colour adapts. That's it.

Step 1: Prep your skin

Cleanse your face as you normally would. Then apply your regular moisturiser — or a sunscreen if you prefer (Samantha from New Zealand finds sunscreen as a base creates an extra dewy finish).

Now here's the important part: wait about 5 minutes.

Let your moisturiser absorb fully before you apply Legacare. You want your skin to feel hydrated and slightly tacky — not wet, not dry. This waiting step is the single biggest factor in getting a smooth, even result. Skipping it is the most common mistake new users make.

Make a cup of tea. Check your phone. Give it those five minutes.

Step 2: Apply — less than you think

Pump once onto the back of your hand. You'll see a small amount of white cream — about the size of a five-cent coin. That's enough for your whole face.

Using a damp beauty sponge or a foundation brush, dot small amounts across your forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin. Then blend outward from the centre of your face with light, even strokes.

Two things to remember here:

Less is more. You can always add a tiny bit more to specific areas (age spots, redness, under-eyes) after your first layer sets. But starting with too much product is harder to fix. Daniela from Australia said it gives good coverage with just a few drops — she could apply more but doesn't really need to.

Tools matter. A damp sponge or brush gives a more even, natural finish than fingers — especially around areas with fine lines. Patricia from Australia found it blended better with the brush. Your fingers work in a pinch, but tools give a noticeably smoother result.

Step 3: Watch (this is the fun part)

Now stop. Look in the mirror. And give it 30 to 60 seconds.

The white cream is going to transform. Right in front of you.

Legacare uses micro-encapsulated pigments — tiny capsules of colour that break open when you blend and respond to your unique skin chemistry. That's why it starts white. The colour isn't pre-mixed in a factory. It's created on your skin, by your skin.

In about 30 seconds, you'll see it start to shift. By 60 seconds, you'll see your shade.

Don't panic if it looks too light at first. This is the most common moment of doubt and it's completely normal. The pigments need that full minute to respond. What looks like "barely there" at 10 seconds often looks perfect at 60.

Laura, 66, from the US described it: it's white coming out of the bottle, but looks clear when you apply it. Being a woman of 66, it didn't look cracked around her wrinkles and didn't look caked. She said Legacare has a customer for life.

Mrs Louise A Williams from the UK was so wary at first because it was white and seemed to disappear — she thought she'd end up like The Emperor's new clothes. She ended up absolutely loving it.

What you should see after 60 seconds

Your skin tone, but more even. Imperfections softened, not erased. A natural, luminous finish that looks like skin — not makeup.

Sharon from Australia summed it up: her skin looks natural, just better.

That's the goal. Not a mask. Not a transformation into someone else. Just you, looking a little brighter, a little more even, a little more radiant.

If you want more coverage in certain spots

After your first layer has set for about 30 seconds, go back with a tiny amount — less than you think — and gently pat it over just the areas that need more attention. Age spots, redness, dark circles, uneven patches.

Don't add more everywhere. Build only where you need it. This is what "buildable" means — you're in control of exactly how much coverage goes where.

Tracy, 65, from the US has age spots and red spots primarily on her T-zone. She said this product covers nicely, blends to her skin tone, and is so easy to use.

The one thing to remember when you're done

Set with a hydrating mist, not powder.

A light spritz of hydrating setting mist, held about 20-30cm from your face. Two to three spritzes. Let it air dry.

Do not use powder. Powder is the single biggest cause of foundation settling into lines on mature skin. It strips the moisture from the formula and causes it to crack and crease — which is exactly what you're trying to avoid.

A hydrating mist keeps the formula flexible and dewy. That's what gives you all-day wear without the midday breakdown.

Quick-reference card

Save this or screenshot it for your first try:

PREP: Cleanse → moisturise → wait 5 minutes

APPLY: One pump → damp sponge or brush → blend from centre outward

WATCH: Wait 30-60 seconds for colour to adapt

BUILD (if needed): Tiny amount, pat gently, targeted areas only

SET: Hydrating mist, 2-3 spritzes, air dry. No powder.

If something doesn't seem right

We'd rather help you get a perfect result than have you give up on the product.

If the colour seems off, if it's settling into lines, if the coverage isn't what you expected — there's almost always a simple fix. The most common issues come down to one of four things: not enough moisturiser underneath, too much product, using fingers instead of a tool, or setting with powder.

Before you decide it's not for you, reach out. Reply to any of our emails or contact our team at [customer service link]. We'll walk you through a quick troubleshoot — and in most cases, a small tweak makes all the difference.

You also have a full 30-day guarantee. If it's genuinely not right for your skin after trying the application tips, you can return it. No drama. But give us a chance to help first — we're good at this.

Enjoy the moment

You've been searching for the right foundation. Maybe for a long time.

Julie said everything she'd ever tried sat in her age lines and made her feel like mutton dressed up as lamb. When she tried Legacare, her skin looked healthier and even-toned, and she knew she'd order again.

That moment — the one where you look in the mirror and think yes, this is it — is what we made this product for.

Three steps. Sixty seconds. And a reflection that looks like you. Just a little more radiant.

We can't wait to hear how it goes.
