Born From Foundation, Built From Respect
I didn't start Legacare because I wanted to build a beauty brand.
I started it because I watched my mum lose confidence over something as small as foundation.
Every product she tried (formulas that once looked effortless) suddenly started working against her.
Settling into lines. Cracking by midday. Turning orange. Highlighting every texture she wanted to soften.
And I realized: It wasn't her. It was the products.
Women over 45 were being treated like an afterthought.
Formulas were designed for 20-year-old skin, slapped with "anti-aging" labels and sold at a premium.
Heavy, cakey makeup makes you look covered, not glowing.
Marketing whispers (or shouts) that your wrinkles were problems to fix.
I kept seeing the same look in my mum's eyes (and eventually in other women's eyes) feeling invisible, overlooked, like their beauty had somehow expired.
That's when I realized: if no one else was going to create what mature skin actually needs, I would.
Legacare Was Born
Not from a lab.
Not from a boardroom focus group.
From a daughter's refusal to accept that her mum (or any woman) deserved anything less than formulas that actually work.
I spent 28 months rebuilding everything from scratch. Late nights. Long weekends. 16-hour days working jobs to survive, and developing formulas until I couldn't see straight.
I traveled to remote mountain regions most brands would never bother with… because I wasn't chasing scale. I was chasing a solution.
Founded in Queensland, Australia, Legacare became what I wish had existed all along: a brand built on radical self-acceptance, not fear-based marketing.
